West Shore RCMP is asking the public to help identify a suspect in an ongoing fraud investigation regarding a scam phone call.

The fraud occurred in December 2024, when a caller posed as a victim's bank employee in order to obtain credit card information.

Police believe the man fraudulently purchased thousands of dollars' worth of merchandise using the victim's credit card.

West Shore RCMP describe the suspect as a man in his 20s of medium complexion, with a thin moustache and goatee, and two diamond-studded earrings in his right ear. He was seen wearing a black baseball cap with three white stars, a black vest, a black hoodie and black track pants with two vertical stripes on the pant leg.

Police say they have followed up on many leads, but have not been able to identify him.

Anyone who may be able to identify the individual is asked to call West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264, or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers online or by calling 1-800-222-8477.
