The bumpy section of Lochside Regional Trail between Beacon Avenue and Weiler Avenue will be replaced this fall.
CRD says the removal of the existing surface for the asphalt pavement installation will happen between Oct. 21 and the end of November.
Arbourists, construction and paving crews will be on site.
Residents around the area say they have been waiting a while for this to happen.
The sections of trail between Weiler Avenue and Orchard Avenue, as well as Orchard Avenue and Beacon Avenue, will see intermittent closures during this time and temporary detours will be in place.
A traffic management plan has been put in place identifying detour routes the public may use.
CRD is asking the public to follow the direction of all signage and traffic control personnel on site, and use caution around equipment and crews.
