BC Transit announced service disruptions for the annual Island Equipment Owner’s Association Truck Light Convoy and Food Drive.
The BC Transit website says all bus routes on Sat., Dec. 1 will be affected and that riders should expect delays.
“There will be rolling closured with Police Escort throughout the Capital Region — Victoria, Oak Bay, Saanich and the Western Communities — between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.,” the alert reads on the website.

Trucks will make their way through the downtown core, circle around Victoria General Hospital and pass through the West Shore before stopping at Western Speedway in Langford.
Trucks will start at Ogden Point at 5:45 p.m. and finish around 8:30 p.m. A police escort will be guiding them through the region.
Victoria Police also tweeted about road closures Saturday evening and reminded people that the event collects food for the Mustard Seed Street Church.
