Nine cases among patients have led to a COVID-19 outbreak being declared in two Victoria General Hospital units.
The outbreak is limited to neuromedicine units 6A and 6B and no other areas at the hospital are affected. Island Health said VGH remains a safe place to attend and people should still seek emergency care, should they need it.
Victoria’s Luther Court long-term care home outbreak was declared over on Tuesday. Outbreaks at the Saanich Peninsula’s Sidney All Care and Sidney Care Home long-term care sites were also over as of Tuesday.
