VIDEO: Reward offered after brazen lamb-napping

Handfuls of airplanes and pineapple lumps to anyone who has information

NZ Builders, known for their innovative construction, but also fondly famous locally for their mascots, is struggling with a devastating lamb-napping.

Three weeks ago, while working at their current building site in the 300 block of Beach Drive, the NZ Builders crew say that little Sooty lamb went missing from the back of one of their F150 trucks parked out front.

“I don’t get much sleep at night, I’m just thinking about the sheep,” said Paul Raikaki. “It’s on all of our minds, you know? It hurts the community.”

A word of caution to looky-loos who may go down to the scene, Sooty’s owners recently mentioned on Facebook that Mumma Florence is in full ram mode so please be careful when walking past the site.

Mumma Florence has since gone undercover to try to bring her little lamby home.

“She is a dear part of our family and the NZ community here. For any information on the lamb-napping of dear little Sooty we are offering a reward of airplanes* and pineapple lumps,” said Troy Martens. “Please bring her home.”

*No guarantee given on size or functionality of said airplanes
