Further to your article – I agree with all the contents.
I have been at the top of Bear Mountain for the past five years and I’m still waiting for at least a morning and evening service.
I have seen all the local housing construction and still wonder why B.C. Transit cannot put in a small commuter bus.
When I first arrived I did not see school buses but now when I drive up the mountain I count as many as three buses and still nothing for seniors.
The planning team builds the service plan based on priority, demand and availability. I would be interested in the team’s reasons for not developing a transit system for Bear Mountain.
B.C. Transit’s “coming soon” is something they say but find too difficult to implement. I assume another September will pass with the same promises and no action.
