Gridlock and traffic chaos can be better managed in areas of the city that are known bottlenecks due to the numerous ongoing projects.
The city needs to implement a public service campaign to encourage drivers to share the road and stop blocking up intersections. Where there are building projects, such as at Hillside and Douglas, flaggers should be at the intersection to manage bottlenecks. The police do not have time to monitor and manage these situations.
By educating the motoring public to keep the way clear at intersections or simply give a space for left-turners, traffic would flow so much better, and tempers will be tempered.
