Dear Sidney,
I’ll be leaving you soon to move to Langford. I will miss you and your residents, which include some of the best friends and neighbours anyone could hope to have.
You are a wonderful and peaceful town, with just enough going on to keep us happy. My pup, 2-2, and I walk down Beacon most days, having many adventures, as 2-2 is adorable, and attracts attention. We have never met anyone unpleasant or unkind.
Politics here can get messy, but there are arguments to be made on both sides. I don’t envy City Council.
Thank you, sweet Sidney, for being home for four happy, peaceful years. Thank you, too, Peninsula News Review, for doing a great job covering our community. Thanks for printing most of the letters to the editor that I wrote, even those which criticized you. Thanks, too, to your boss, David Black, who is like a dog with a bone when he believes in something. He’s made a strong case for the Commonwealth Games, and I respect a man who makes wise use of his wide reach.
I look forward to seeing all of you again soon.
Judy Moscovitz
