3 Downs, 3 Picks is a weekly video series breaking down the CFL

 With just three weeks to go, the CFL playoff picture is now much clearer but there is still some situations to be determined.

In week 18:

  • The Winnipeg Blue Bombers continued their dominant stretch of play by pulverizing the Hamilton TigerCats, 31-10 for their eighth win in a row;
  • Despite zero touchdowns from their offence, the B.C. Lions relied on their defence, powered by a 23-point fourth quarter which included a pick-six, and a fumble return for a touchdown to defeat the Calgary Stampeders, 32-15;
  • And on Saturday night in Edmonton, the Saskatchewan Roughriders had a pair of 100-yard receivers, as the duo of Samuel Emilus and KeeSean Johnson helped the riders narrowly defeat the Elks, 28-24.

Because of these results, Ottawa, Saskatchewan, and B.C. all clinched their playoff spots.

As for us, it was a nice bounce-back week as we both went 2/3. Jordy is now 30/54 on the year while Bowen is now 27/54, and back to .500. However, Jordy got a huge win in the head-to-head to increase the lead to 10-7 plus a tie, with just three weeks to go in the regular season. A win this week and Jordy wins the head-to-head match-up.

Let's see what week 19 has in store:
