The action was intense but sportsmanship was on full display throughout day two of the 2024 Lhtako Quesnel BC Winter Games.
Vancouver Coastal (Zone 5) now leads the way in medals, now with 68 (18 gold, 28 silver, 22 bronze). Fraser River (Zone 5) is in second with 62 medals while Thompson-Okanagan (Zone 2) has 40.
After collecting one gold medal on Friday, Cariboo-North East (Zone 8) had a great day on Saturday as they are up to 18 medals (eight gold, three silver, seven bronze).
Eight of the 18 medals came in Judo:

Dax Norman (Dawson Creek) - Boys 73 kg;
Yannick Schimann (Prince George) - Boys 55 kg;
Landen Cartwright (Prince George) - Boys 46 kg;
Silver
Preston Holt (Prince George) - Boys 73 kg;
Bronze
Layne Clark (Prince George) - Boys 73 kg;
Jesse-Castor Hedstrom (Prince George) - Boys 60 kg;
Lucas Austman (Prince George) - 46 kg;
Charles Jordan (Dawson Creek) - 42 kg.
Additionally, Prince George’s Khole Spencer won gold in the CCP 7 women’s vault.
Many sports come to an end on Saturday but ringette, archery, wheelchair basketball, karate, and curling will finish on Sunday.
