A freshly minted Grey Cup winner is taking his skills, and his giant trophy to the Cowichan Valley Football Association’s 2024 spring football camp March 16-17.

“I’m super excited for the Cowichan Football Association to be bringing back our spring camp again this year,” said Duncan product, Brock Gowanlock, of the 2023 Grey Cup Champion Montreal Alouettes.

“I attended the camp when I was younger as a guest coach and am super proud to be one of the hosts over the last two years and to be bringing the Grey Cup home!”

The spring camp is fully inclusive for all players ages eight to 14 and will be a great chance for all skill levels to have fun and learn new fundamentals of the sport.

“Last year was a blast,” said Gowanlock. “We had tons of prizes for the kids who showed great character and skill and we will be bringing that tradition back this year again.”

He encourages all young players to attend the event.

“Make sure to come check us out and to grow your game,” he said.

The two-day camp runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 16 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 17.

The cost is $75 and requires full gear. Lunch will be provided on both days, and participants will receive a camp t-shirt, skills development, and a chance to get up close and personal to the biggest prize in Canadian football.
