Greater Victoria firefighters are gearing up to face off against former NHL players on the ice this Sunday at 1 p.m., and it’s all for charity.

Habs fans will get to see some familiar faces playing as some of the greats face off against local heroes.

Premier John Horgan will be dropping the puck and local mascots Marty and Grizz will also be there for “photos and fun,” according to an announcement from the Umbrella Society.

All of the money raised is going to the Umbrella Society, which provides support for people struggling with addiction.

“It’s our first ever fundraiser, so we decided to jump in with both feet and really go for it,” Sharlene Law, the executive director for the society, previously told Black Press Media.

Regular tickets are $20 for the game, which takes place at The Q Centre in Colwood.

A limited number of VIP tickets are still available to purchase on Eventbrite for $75. Those include lunch, a meet-and-greet with the Canadiens alumni team, a chance to have up to two pieces of memorabilia autographed and “great seats.”
