Vancouver Rise FC continues their undefeated streak with a win over AFC Toronto on Sunday (Aug. 17).

The Rise FC took on AFC Toronto at BMO Field in Toronto, holding possession 45 percent of the time and taking 12 shots, six on goal, while Toronto took 14, six on goal.

In the 39th minute, Rise FC's Jasmyne Spencer was shown a yellow card, followed by a red card, meaning the team would be down to 10 players.

This is Rise FC goalie Morgan McAslan's "sixth clean sheet of the season," noted a Vancouver Rise FC press release. "Rise FC is now undefeated in five straight matches, tying the league record for most matches unbeaten with AFC Toronto."

McAslan said on a Northern Super League social media video that it was a dream come true to play at BMO Field on Saturday. "I've actually watched Steph Labbé and the national team play here. So it feels so great to get the win in my hometown."

The Vancouver Rise FC remain in 4th place in the league with 23 points, and AFC Toronto remains in first place with 32 points.

The Rise FC play again on Sunday, August 24th, in Ottawa against the Ottawa Rapid FC at 11 am PT. Rise FC then comes home on Saturday, August 30th, to play Montréal Roses FC at 7 pm.

Vancouver Rise are part of Canada's first professional women's soccer league, the Northern Super League. The other clubs are Calgary Wild FC, Halifax Tides FC, Montréal Roses, Ottawa Rapid FC and AFC Toronto.
