The Victoria junior Shamrocks’ first winning record of the season lasted just one day.
Following the Shamrocks’ 9-5 victory over the visiting Port Coquitlam Saints at Bear Mountain Arena on Saturday, the team was “taken to school” by the Coquitlam Adanacs, said general manager Rod Wood.
Wesley Berg scored five times in the first period, seven times in all as the Ads roughed up the Shamrocks 14-3 in Coquitlam Sunday night. The loss puts Victoria at two wins, two losses in the B.C. Junior Lacrosse League schedule.
Scoring for the Shamrocks against the Ads were Brody Eastwood, Dane Schoor and Blair Pinnock.
Just a day earlier, however, Schoor and Pinnock each tallied hat tricks and Jesse King scored two goals and three assists in leading Victoria over the Saints.

Int. ’Rocks clip Adanacs
The intermediate Victoria Shamrocks moved to 3-0 on the season with a 13-11 win over the Coquitlam Adanacs at Bear Mountain Arena on Saturday.
Jordan Cunningham led the way with a hattrick for the baby ’Rocks. Dane Sorensen, Chris Buckle and Dereck Lecky eached scored twice, with singles from Cole Noble, Nick Sanderson, Matt Benedict and Chris Kasper.
Tanner Hodgson earned the win in goal.
The baby ’Rocks host the Port Coquitlam Saints at Bear Mountain on Saturday (May 14) at 5 p.m.
