FIGURE SKATING: Junior nationals underway in Victoria

Junior Nationals begin Monday morning with Sooke’s novice-level dance partners Leonardo and Pilar Maekawa scheduled to skate their compulsories at 9:09 a.m. and 11:50 a.m. at SOFMC. Leonardo will skate the novice men’s short program at 2:29 p.m. on Monday. Tickets to the juniors are $10 for the whole day, practice times are free all week. The schedule for both the juniors and this weekend’s nationals is available at www.skatecanada.ca.
