The grounds of the B.C. legislature were brimming with red and white flags, hats, and shirts Saturday as it once again hosted Canada Day celebrations in the provincial capital.
Thousands turned out for a day filled with live music, food trucks serving up grub from around the world, and plenty of activities to keep the young and old alike entertained.
No fewer than 11 performers were scheduled for the day, with the celebrations set to be capped off with a performance by Juno Award nominee Jill Barber at 9 p.m., and a fireworks display at 10:20 p.m. over the Inner Harbour.
