Thousands of thirsty people poured into Victoria’s Royal Athletic Park for one of the city’s popular annual events.
The Great Canadian Beer Festival, put on by the Victoria Beer Society, featured 80 different breweries and 250 different beers from across the country over two days of fun in the sun.
While the focus of the event was certainly put on the breweries and their beers, this year’s event didn’t skimp on entertainment and food options either.
Eight different food trucks were on hand, live bands and a DJ provided endless music, and giant Jenga, chess, and a 100-foot-long inflatable obstacle course also kept people busy in between samples.
Now in its 29th year, the festival bills itself as the oldest of its kind in Canada and takes pride in promoting local brews and offering up beers from further afield which can’t be had anywhere else in B.C.
