The Vox Humana Chamber Choir will present its 16th annual performance of A Child’s Christmas in Wales on Dec. 23 and 24.

This holiday tradition features Dylan Thomas’ classic Christmastime story, read by Victoria resident and Welshman Melville Jones, accompanied by seasonal choral music. The performance is suitable for all ages, including families with young children.

Written by Welsh poet Dylan Thomas and recorded in 1952, A Child’s Christmas in Wales offers a nostalgic portrayal of Christmas through the eyes of a child.

Performances are scheduled for Dec. 23 at St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Saanichton at 7:30 p.m., and Dec. 24 at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Victoria at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets are priced at $35 for adults, and $30 for seniors, with pay-what-you-can options available for people aged 25 and under or those seeking income-accessible pricing.
