The Simpsons lovers might be familiar with sexy Flanders, but a whole host of other potentially sexy, and just plain funny, versions of Simpsons characters will be dancing at the Salty Springfield Simpsons Cabaret on May 30 at the Victoria Event Centre.

“The idea for a Simpsons Cabaret has been knocking around in my brain since before Salty Broad was started in 2018,” said Sarah Murphy, artistic director of Salty Broad Productions, producing the show. “So to say I’m thrilled this is coming to fruition is an understatement … and to have such an incredible cast and crew bringing it to life is the onion on my belt (which was the style at the time).”

Local drag, burlesque and musical theatre performers, including Eddi Licious, Chaz Avery and Lil Jam Jam, will bring their favourite Simpsons characters and musical numbers to life.

Audience members are encouraged to follow suit by dressing as their favourite characters and brushing up on their trivia. The Salty Broads have prizes for their best dressed and brainiest “neighbourinos”.

Salty Broad Productions is known for its gameshow-style events featuring high-energy musical numbers and the Wheel of Whimsy.

A limited number of early bird tickets are available for $35. General admission is $40; at the door tickets are $50. Tickets are available at showpass.com.

The show is for ages 19+ and starts at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 30.
