Pacific FC have just secured a contract with defenceman Juan Quintana, whose "fiery presence" the team hopes will benefit it next season.
The 21-year-old first played with the Victoria outfit in 2024, logging 22 appearances for a total of 1,530 minutes across Canadian Premier League and Telus Canadian Championship gametime.
“We are very excited to continue with Quintana,” James Merriman, Pacific FC's head coach, said in a news release. “He’s got great instincts as a young central defender who continues to develop and has big potential. He’s a player that brings maximum intensity and high energy to his defending.”
At six feet tall, Quintana, who got his professional start in 2021 playing for Orsomarso Sportive Clube in Colombia, is known for his speed and control, according to Pacific FC.
“Quintana is very good for our team in terms of his character and humility,” Merriman added in the same release. “We believe in him.”
