As 2025 approaches, Destination Greater Victoria is introducing a new program to help people prioritize their health and wellness, and to support local businesses focused on wellness.

The new Intention program aims to be a wellness getaway program that offers products and experiences in the region centred around health and wellness.

Intention, which runs from Jan. 5 to 19, allows participants to tailor an itinerary that is perfect for them from a collection of health and wellness activities, events, and treatments including an opportunity to take part in a speaker series, cooking classes, guided workouts, unique hotel stays, and more.

"2025 marks the kick-off year for Intention, a program we look forward to running annually," said Paul Nursey, CEO of Destination Greater Victoria, in a news release. "We believe this initiative will gain momentum over time and provide a welcome boost to local businesses during the off-peak season. This program aligns with our destination’s brand, known around the world for its focus on sustainability and rejuvenation.”

Among the program highlights are a six-course wild mushroom dinner with a mycologist and a keynote and hands-on session with master gardener and best-selling author Stephanie Rose.
