Family Day long weekend brings fun-filled Lego-themed activities to the Sidney Museum.

Kids of all ages can spend Family Day long weekend at the Sidney Museum with Lego-themed activities for everyone.

See hundreds of Lego models and join the Beacon Avenue Scavenger Hunt – local businesses and organizations will have Lego sets on display in their windows and storefronts. Find them all and be entered in a draw to win Lego prizes.

“With our popular Lego brick exhibition returning for its 18th consecutive year, we are very excited to continue what has become a community tradition,” says Michael Goodchild, museum executive director.

One of Canada’s only Lego-certified professionals, Robin Sather will also be at the museum over the weekend completing a feature build of the Hawaii Mars.

While there, you can contribute to the Community Mosaic, which will eventually be displayed at a local Peninsula Co-op location.

After exploring the Sidney Museum's sights and activities, visit the Sidney Pier Hotel & Spa's Sallas Room, where the Victoria Lego Users Group (VicLUG) will showcase a variety of dioramas ranging from fairground attractions to modular cities.

Family Day long weekend at Sidney Museum runs from Feb. 16 to 19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
