Oak Bay police reviewing video footage of early morning hit-and-run

Police are asking for witnesses and surveillance footage in relation to a recent Beach Drive hit and run

The Oak Bay Police Department is asking for the public's help in its investigation of a hit-and-run.

Police report a vehicle parked on the 2400 block of Beach Drive sustained significant damage when it was sideswiped shortly after 5 a.m. Friday (Feb. 7).

A nearby resident provided the police department with surveillance footage of the incident, and investigators are working to review the footage to identify the vehicle involved.

Oak Bay Police is asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has additional surveillance footage from the area to call 250-592-2424 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
