A pedestrian has died after being hit by a vehicle at a busy Esquimalt intersection Tuesday night (July 29).
Victoria police said they were called to Head Street and Esquimalt Road just before 8 p.m. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, added VicPD.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital but later died from their injuries.
Traffic in the area was diverted for several hours while officers, including members of the Collision Reconstruction Team and Major Crime Unit, collected evidence.
