Quadra Street closed in Saanich Monday afternoon as officers investigate a "serious collision."
Saanich Police Department alerted road users shortly after noon on July 28 to a major thoroughfare closed in both directions near Greenridge Crescent, the area where the Lochside Regional Trail crosses Quadra.
Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes to allow emergency personnel to work safely and without interruption.
"We recognize that incidents like this can cause concern within the community. Our thoughts are with those affected, and we thank the public for their continued patience and cooperation as we work to ensure the safety of everyone involved," Insp. Damian Kowalewich said in a news release.
