Summer vibes: Guide unlocks access to nightly fun and music in Victoria

The City of Victoria makes it easy to plan for plenty of summer fun with a new event finder tool to navigate its comprehensive City Vibe guide.

Discover more than 200 free concerts, performances and festivals in the guide with a new search option that allows users to sort events by date, location or activity type. A printable monthly planner is also available online or at City Hall. It offers a snapshot of what’s happening each month, making it easy to see the full range of programs at a glance.

“Summer in Victoria is special,” said Nichola Reddington, manager of arts, culture and events. “Whether you’re downtown or in your neighbourhood park, I hope you get out and enjoy everything this season has to offer, from concerts to cultural festivals, public markets and more.”

Music this summer includes the Eventide Music Series featuring free evening shows in Centennial Square on select Wednesdays and the Fort Common Music Series with lunchtime concerts in the heart of downtown on Thursdays. Vibrant, live music fills Beacon Hill Park with performances in Cameron Bandshell Friday to Monday from June to September, featuring talented local performers.

Summer at Ship Point includes live music, games and entertainment, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
