VicPD's annual community survey is now open.

The 2025 VicPD Community Survey is now open, and will be available until Friday, April 25 for up to 5,000 Victoria and Esquimalt residents and businesses.

Residents and businesses will be receiving a letter from VicPD over the next week with a token inviting them to complete the survey, which will take about 10 minutes and includes an opportunity to provide comments.

"Addresses are selected randomly and provided to VicPD by the City of Victoria and Township of Esquimalt, while the number of invitations is based on population and the number of responses needed to ensure that the survey is statistically significant," noted a release from VicPD.

The annual survey, which started in 2014, aims to capture the impressions, concerns and opinions of the public on topics ranging from crime incidents to overall satisfaction, which helps inform both operational priorities and budget resource requests of the department.

The survey results from 2024 are available on the OpenVicPD portal on their website at www.vicpd.ca/open-vicpd/community-survey.

Feedback is welcome, and VicPD will receive any questions or comments about the community survey by email at engagement@vicpd.ca.
