While a Hillside area home is destroyed, there are no lingering injuries after a midnight fire roused several residents.
Victoria Fire Department was called to the 3000-block of Doncaster Drive just before midnight, sending eight apparatus and 22 firefighters to find a garage ablaze.
The fire then spread to the main house in the roof and attic area, a city spokesperson said.
The fire was under control by 12:30 a.m. Tuesday (July 29) and fire investigators arrived shortly after and worked to 3 in the morning.
The cause remains under investigation.
