A former 2023 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year forward, Devin O'Hea, has found a new home at Starlight Stadium starting Sunday, July 28.

"Devin is a player with great character and has been working extremely hard for an opportunity," said Pacific FC head coach James Merriman.

O'Hea, of North Vancouver, had been playing for Burnaby-based semi-professional side TSS Rovers in League 1 British Columbia and represented Simon Fraser University (SFU) in the NCAA Division II competition.

At SFU, he scored nine goals and recorded nine assists in 18 matches for the university in 2023. He played with the Rovers from 2022 to 2024 in nine matches, scoring six goals.

"He's a top athlete with a strong work ethic who has consistently created goals for his teams," said Merriman.

Before lacing up his cleats for SFU, he was a wide receiver for SFU's football team, suiting up for the team in 2018 before switching in 2019. Since making the switch, he has played 3,299 minutes, scored 15 goals and racked up 11 assists.

"He can play as a target or second striker, has good technique and the ability to create combination play," added Merriman. "He will give a another option going forward in our attack."
