I agree with Eric Diller. It appears there is well organized, self-interested group of residents who publish misinformation and misrepresentation to sway and bully the council’s update of the North Saanich official community plan.

I was recently sitting in a coffee shop on Beacon Avenue enjoying where I live. Three RCMP officers walked across the street together, dressed in black from head to foot, wrapped in bulletproof vests and equipment/weapon belts, looking like something from the Dark Side.

LETTER: Development is not the enemy
There are groups intentionally interfering with the OCP review in North Saanich by spreading false information and intimidating others. The municipality began gathering community input, but when support for sensitive infill and development to meet the housing needs of our community emerged through the first phases of engagement, a small group of indignant people who oppose any development began to spread misinformation to obstruct the engagement process.
