LETTER: First Nations must have say on Spewhung

LETTER: First Nations must have say on Spewhung

Turkey Head must be renegotiated to include First Nations’ vision for Oak Bay Marina as it was initially a First Nations village and we need to honour this fact by bringing their voice to the table, starting from the planning stage.

LETTER: Not all dogs need to be leashed on beach

In regards to dogs being required to be leashed at Willows Beach, I propose that the word “leashed” be changed to “under control.” This allows the majority of our pets to enjoy the freedom to play, to explore, to chase a ball or stick supervised by their owners who likewise enjoy meeting friends and walking the beach.

LETTER: COVID deaths should be a wake-up call

LETTER: COVID deaths should be a wake-up call

COVID deaths are real to those families and friends of the deceased. If they approved having the names of the deceased published rather than the numbers of deaths, the pandemic would be more real to all of us, especially the anti vax and anti maskers.
