I Just read about the Halloween pumpkin issues at the Oak Bay municipal hall brought on by COVID. I agree that the pumpkins might be a public danger. Better to have them on poles. We’ll come to see them, walking down the street or from the safety of our cars.

More than one year ago in September 2020, the B.C. NDP government released its Old Growth Strategic Review and committed to adopting all 14 of its recommendations.

When Prince William says, “Great minds should focus on saving Earth not space travel,” he dumbs down complex challenges, placing them into sound bites that cannot inspire to do and know better.

It seems a little rich that the District of Saanich has earmarked $200,000, plus an unknown cost for staff time, to provide incentives of up to $1,600 to buy e-bikes.

The notion that North Saanich is failing in its obligation to be a complete community is ludicrous; North Saanich was never intended to be a complete community in the first place.

This year – 2021 – is the 150th anniversary of British Columbia becoming part of Canada. For B.C. descendants of United Empire Loyalists (UEL), this honours the 1871 addition of B.C. to the 1867 Canada that their ancestors helped form.

I want to commend ROAM, a dog-finder service.
