A huge heartfelt thank you to the Indigenous elders/knowledge keepers Linda, Henry, Laura, Brianne and Erin for generously sharing their wisdom, skills and patience in teaching us how to make a woven cedar bracelet, a cedar rose, and a deerskin drum.

Your article “Unleashing the Hounds” gives a good account of the current dispute around off-leash dogs. One aspect though that I think needs consideration is the inconsistency of many of the spurious arguments put forward.

Re: Elizabeth May sponsors petition advocating public nudity (May 19). My sympathies go out to Ms. May and all of her supporters. Whereas at one point, Ms. May may have had the best intentions to raise the political bar, it must now take a lot of squirming to keep under a bar that has fallen so stiflingly low.

I disagree with the letter from Trevor Amon about his position on running for mayor in a city where you are not a resident.
