In regards to the article “Mayor committed to density to Langford’s core.”

As the year rolls along and we rapidly barrel towards fall and winter, it’s once again time to ponder the start of a new year.

This letter is in regards to the complete lack of concern from Mayor Stew Young and council for residents of the community over the increased development in Langford.

The bulletin board in front of the Lutheran Church on Cedar Hill and Cedar Hill Cross Road recently had the following message: “Thank you Brian for your gift of music.”

In regards to the article “Mayor committed to density to Langford’s core.” First off, no one is saying we should not have development in Langford.

In response to Mayor Stew Young’s comments in the Aug. 25 Goldstream Gazette calling citizens opposed to development “naysayers,” the citizens in the neighbourhood of the Millstream proposal understand the need for increased density. We have been taxpayers for many years and have contributed to the economy for Langford and deserve a retraction of this statement.

Why are the places that are providing COVID-19 testing charging so much? Why are they allowed to capitalize and gauge the community on this terrible pandemic?

I write to take issue with a letter published in Saanich News on Aug. 25. The writer asks “why do the mayors of Victoria and Saanich … claim that increased residential city development actually decreases greenhouse gas emissions?”

I recently moved from the North Park neighbourhood in Victoria to Royal Oak in Saanich.

Here we go again, in pandemic crisis mode for the fourth time.
