We would like to thank writer Nina Grossman and the Oak Bay News for the important article in the July 2 issue, “Saanich woman says sexual assault was dismissed by police.”

As an avid, lifelong cyclist, I applaud Victoria’s efforts to increase bike usage. After spending considerable money on the fantastic bike trails and lanes, can an effort be made to monitor the speed and usage of these trails?

The company that built Dean Park Estates did not foresee a library at the site of Panorama Recreation Centre when it donated the land to the District of North Saanich in 1975.

We are heading towards Phase 3 of getting back to a normal life. Almost everything that was closed during the first few months of the COVID-19 scare is now open.

Westshore Parks and Rec (WSPR) has announced that it will be opening the Q Centre ice rink but not the Juan de Fuca ice rink for the 20/21 winter season.

I am a Colwood resident and own two properties in the Lagoon area on Anchorage Avenue. I am writing to express my deep disappointment with recent decisions made by the council regarding Ocean Boulevard.

Campers must not be allowed to stay in Beacon Hill Park. We implore council to do as the taxpayers of Victoria wish.

We are permanent residents of the Esquimalt Lagoon area of Colwood and wish to express our complete dissatisfaction with council’s decision to keep Lagoon Road closed to through traffic and to be reviewed again in early September.
