For the last 30 years we have been using the Lookout at Beacon Hill Park as one of our favourite places to sit in our car and enjoy the view. We also used it as our first stop while showing our visitors the beauty around Victoria.

Sidney town council has made it clear that it wants develop a green town. So far I have only seen wall-to-wall concrete construction, with no requirement for a percentage of the parcel of land to be green.

First, thank you BC Transit for keeping the bus system up and running during COVID-19.

Re: O.K. Industries asks to engage with Highlands community over contentious quarry project

I am writing this letter to add my voice to those who have raised concerns about this recent effort by Victoria council to restrict access to Beacon Hill Park to pedestrians. It is difficult not to recognize a pattern of decisions by council that have been detrimental to community members with disabilities and others.

I disagree with your view on paid sick leave in the May 28 edition of the Victoria News.

I am writing today to urge everyone to do more to ensure that Saanich’s streets are safe for active transportation, children, and those with disabilities.

Readers says it would make electricity less costly and our air and water cleaner and much healthier

Thank you for the story about the community gallery closure in Colwood. I am a Canadian artist myself and wanted to comment about that closure. (Too bad there wasn’t somebody out there who could rescue this gallery, but the problem of course runs much deeper.)

Here we go again. Now Victoria council is trying to restrict yet another favourite spot for seniors to visit.
