This is a note to angry car drivers in Fairfield.

Reconciliation is restoration.

As if 91 local politicians aren’t enough to govern 425,000 citizens on the South Island, View Royal is considering adding two additional councillors.

There seems to be a concerted effort to reduce any off-leash dog walking in the Oak Bay and Saanich municipalities by a very few folks. We are regular walkers with our two dogs in Uplands Park, which is a very cherished and special place.

Reading about the proposal to replace the Sidney wharf with used pontoons I realized I have seen the pontoons in Pitt Meadows. They look exactly like they what they are, an old bridge. My view is that these unsightly hulks would not be a positive addition to the Sidney waterfront.

This year, like no other, has terrified me.

I wish to thank Saanich council for putting the memorial poles down Shelbourne Street. Having lived in Saanich for over 30 years we turn off our radio when driving there, and try to remember many of the other people who were involved in the First World War.

Thank you for the most interesting article regarding ‘110 years since crews paved the Malahat.’ The B.C. Ministry of Transportion also deserves acknowledgement for its commitment to safety on this stretch of highway. However, there is indeed more work to be done. In particular, the Trans-Canada Highway and Shawnigan Lake Road intersection needs improvement. The installation of traffic signals or an alternative to intersection design needs to be considered.

They call these public hearings? Council will not answer questions about the proposal or proposed bylaw(s) except to provide clarification.
